The DRY GUY’s proprietary formula is the most effective technique for imparting hydrophobicity ( water-repellency ) to a porous surface (fabric) to alter the surface (fabric) tension properties. If the solid fabric surface has been impregnated with a material which interacts with the surface matrix ( fabric construction ), it has a tendency to eliminate its surface absorption when liquid water comes in contact with such a fabric surface.
The DRY GUY’s proprietary formula creates a breathable thin hydrophobicity ( water-repellent ) coating that has a tendency for most liquids to pull itself into droplets ( since most liquid molecules are more attracted to themselves than to the molecules which make up the treated surface ). Once most liquid droplets form, they tend to simply run off the treated fabric surface rather than wet into the surface. One significant advantage of this proprietary formula is that other contaminants that can soil the surface ( fabric ), cannot easily migrate through the pore structure of the treated fabric surface, essentially being able to be cleaned.
